Do you offer custom sizes pouches other than what is available on the website?

Of Course! Listed sizes in the Rapid Production, No MOQ’s pages are the most cost and time efficient options, but if you want a custom size, utilize the Custom Pro Pouches Page. We’ll be more than happy to help, just give us a call! Please note that the Custom Pro Pouches will have a slightly longer lead time and carry an MOQ of 5,000 bags.

How do I design a pouch?

We have die-line templates on our website that you can download and use! Make sure to follow the instructions, which are listed directly on the templates. We offer complete in-house design services for an additional charge, and our designers will do it all for you! If you wish to try it yourself, we can help guide you through it for free! We recommend having someone who is fluent in Adobe Illustrator help you with your design if you choose to do it yourself. We also offer a complimentary in-house service for simple design tweaks that take less than 15 minutes. If they exceed 15 minutes you will be charged for 1 hour.

How much is the in-house design service?

We charge $90/hour with a minimum charge of 1 hour. Billing will be added to your order upon customer file approval.

Why do I need to upload both the .ai and .pdf files?

Accepted Answer

Uploading both .pdf and .ai files limits the back and forth and helps us keep our order process streamlined. Often, we receive PDFs that are not layered or vectorized that would not print well with our software. Receiving both .ai and .pdf files helps us ensure your artwork will print correctly, and allows us to make edits to the files if you need changes made.

Can I purchase a single or only a few pouches?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Many of our customers do this for short prototype runs, proof of concept projects, and pre-production demos. The pouches are more expensive; however, you can expect a production pouch that’s professionally made just like the rest of the bags we supply.

Are CannaZip’s pouches food safe?

Accepted Answer

You bet! The materials used are high barrier substrates and most can meet FDA regulations for direct food contact. You can find material specification sheets on our website.

Question 7

Does the material finish affect windows on clear films?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A gloss finish will have optically clear product windows, but a matte finish will create a frosted glass effect.

Question 8

Does the metallized material create a metallic finish?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the inside of the bag will have a metallic look, and the outside of the bag will shimmer as well – unless your artwork has a white base layer below the colors. The inks are semi-transparent so if you want your bag to lightly shimmer, through the ink, you can omit a white base. Please note that colors may slightly change on a metallic film if printed without a white base layer.

Is shipping included in the pricing on the pouch order page?

For Rapid Production Pouches, various shipping options are available at checkout, including free ground shipping. For all other orders, shipping will be quoted separately. Options range from standard ground shipping to priority overnight shipping.

Is tax included?

Accepted Answer

Tax is added on the same page that the shipping is added. If you have a resale certificate or tax exemption form, you can upload it at the bottom of the checkout page to have tax omitted. If you need a certificate to fill out, we can provide you with the necessary documents. If you do not provide us with these documents, sales tax will be charged on your order.

Do you seal the pouches before shipping?

No, you need to add your product first! Your bags will be sent unsealed on the fill side, where you can then add your products and seal on site! Bags should be heat sealed after filling to keep your products fresh and safe. A few types of affordable sealing systems are impulse and band sealers. Make sure to check with local/state regulations for laws on packaging and sealing Cannabis & CBD products.

Are CannaZip bags readily compliant with all state cannabis/CBD regulations?

Cannabis/CBD regulations vary state by state. We sell to the entire USA so we strongly recommend thoroughly checking your local/state Cannabis/CBD packaging regulations prior to submitting an order. It is your responsibility to ensure that you order your custom packaging in accordance with your local/state regulations prior to using them for sale. CannaZip is not responsible for checking local/state laws for you. We are not liable for the end uses of your packaging. Bags will be supplied as you have ordered them so please do your due diligence!

Can I use my own pouch templates?

Your art files must be submitted using the die-line templates we have listed on our website. We will not accept or produce art files that are not formatted using the provided templates.

Do CannaZip bags have a warranted shelf life?

Although the highest quality high barrier materials are used, the shelf life of each product is unique. Due to the high variations of products, Cannazip cannot warranty shelf life of an individual product. We recommend thorough testing to determine your products useable shelf life.

If you have a specific color you want to match, please provide the Pantone value of that color – in writing – when placing your order to ensure accuracy. As always, we will provide a digital proof and obtain your approval before your pouches are produced

Is there a specific format my graphics file should be submitted as?

Orders received, weekdays, after 5pm EST will be attended to as soon as possible, but may carry over to the next business day. Orders submitted after 5pm on Friday will be processed Monday morning. Production runs Monday – Friday, 9am – 4pm EST. You may submit your order on our website 24/7, and our team will assist you as soon as possible.

Are my products guaranteed to be 100% accurate to specification?

We do our best to make sure that every pouch is perfect. However, our production equipment has manufacturing tolerances, which means there may be some minor variation when pouches are produced. These tolerances, along with certain artwork designs, may result in art from the bleed area carrying over from one side of the pouch to the other. Minor variations may occur from bag to bag. Please refer to the Guides section of our website for more information about ensuring your bags come out perfect!

Rapid Production Program: If you do not need a child-resistant zipper, rounded corners, custom sizes, or specialty materials or finishes, there is no minimum order quantity! We can ship your finished pouches in 5 business days or less after proof approval, depending on the production time chosen. In this program, we offer production times from 5 business days to as little as 1 business day! Pricing for our Rapid Production, No MOQ Program is available on our website at the bottom of the product page. Due to the rapid lead times in this program, payment in full is required prior to production. For orders with multiple artwork designs for the same sized bag, there is a SKU fee for $125 for each additional design. Our Custom Pro Program includes features like child-resistant zippers, plant-based, PCR or holographic films, rounded corners, or specialty finishes like soft touch or spot varnish. This program has a minimum order quantity of 5,000 units per size, with a standard production time of 15-18 business days after proof approval. There is a minimum of 1,000 units for each SKU/artwork design within the order. Payment for this program is 50% upfront, and 50% prior to shipment. This accounts for the 20% manufacturing tolerance carried by this program.

On our Custom Pro Pouches Program, there is a 3-4 week production timeline from the date of proof approval. The production timeline does not start until you have signed off on your pre-print proof. From there, the production timeline will be according to the production time you have chosen on your order. Typical delivery is 4-5 weeks from the date of proof approval. You may choose an expedited shipping option for a fee.
